# Project Readiness

WorkBolt matches Experts with projects based on the information provided in their profiles, applications, assessments and work samples.

All information must be accurate and reflect your current skills, language proficiency, accent, experience, equipment and availability.

<Warning>
  Providing inaccurate or misleading information may result in rejected work, loss of payment, removal from a project or restrictions on your WorkBolt account.
</Warning>

## General requirements

Before applying to a job:

* Review all job requirements
* Confirm that you meet the required skill and experience level
* Select only languages and accents you can demonstrate naturally
* Provide the exact equipment you will use
* Complete assessments and samples independently
* Apply only when you can maintain the required quality throughout the project

Approval for one job does not automatically qualify you for other jobs.

## Language and accent requirements

Choose the proficiency level that accurately reflects your ability to speak, understand, read and write the language.

Do not select **native** or **fluent** unless you can consistently perform at that level.

For accent-specific jobs:

* Apply only when the required accent is your natural and consistent accent
* Do not claim an accent based only on where you live or previously lived
* Do not apply using an accent you can only imitate temporarily
* Maintain the same accent throughout the project

Language and accent claims may be checked through applications, assessments, recordings, interviews and submitted work.

## Audio and video jobs

For audio, voice acting and conversation jobs, provide accurate information about:

* Your natural accent and speaking proficiency
* Your microphone and audio interface
* Your camera and recording equipment
* Your recording environment
* Your professional or voice acting experience

You must use the equipment approved for the job.

Approval may be revoked if:

* Your accent does not meet the job requirement
* Your audio or video quality is lower than your approved sample
* You use unapproved equipment
* Recordings repeatedly contain noise, echo or audio bleed
* Your performance does not match the role
* Another person completes work through your account

See [Recording Setup](/equipment/recording-setup) for equipment requirements.

## Writing and transcription jobs

Only apply when your language proficiency, writing ability and subject knowledge meet the job requirements.

Submitted work must:

* Be completed independently
* Follow the required format
* Be original and accurate
* Match the quality demonstrated during assessment
* Avoid unauthorized AI tools, automated transcription or copied material

Repeated grammar errors, inaccurate transcripts, copied work or failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the project.

## Reviewing and evaluation jobs

Reviewers must have the required language ability, subject knowledge and attention to detail.

Reviewers must:

* Follow the project rubric
* Review each submission fully
* Apply standards consistently
* Provide clear and relevant feedback
* Avoid decisions based on personal preference

Reviewer work may also be audited through Quality Assurance.

## Maintaining approval

Approval is based on your application, equipment and submitted samples.

You must continue to meet the same standard throughout the project.

Contact WorkBolt before completing more work if your:

* Equipment changes
* Recording environment changes
* Qualifications or availability change
* Work quality can no longer meet the project standard

Repeated failure to apply feedback may result in removal from the project.

## Verification

WorkBolt may verify your qualifications through:

* Assessments and auditions
* Audio or video samples
* Interviews or certifications
* Equipment checks
* Quality reviews
* Comparisons between application samples and completed work
* Requests for additional information

You may be asked to complete another assessment or provide a new sample before continuing.

## Possible consequences

Depending on the issue, WorkBolt may:

1. Request a profile update
2. Require reassessment
3. Reject noncompliant work
4. Withhold payment for rejected work
5. Remove you from a project
6. Restrict access to similar jobs
7. Suspend or remove your WorkBolt account

<Warning>
  Intentional misrepresentation, impersonation or allowing another person to complete work through your account may result in immediate removal from the project or platform.
</Warning>

## Before applying

* Your language proficiency and natural accent meet the requirements
* Your equipment meets the stated standard
* Your experience matches the job
