Pass threshold

Each quiz-based certification has a pass threshold — the minimum percentage score you need to achieve. The threshold is displayed:
  • On the certification detail page before you start
  • On the results screen after you submit
Common pass thresholds range from 70% to 90% depending on the project’s quality requirements.
Review-only certifications (no quiz questions) don’t have a pass threshold. You just need to confirm every section.

Attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts you can make. Each attempt is recorded, and your certification card shows how many attempts you’ve taken. If you fail an attempt:
  • Review the detailed results to understand your mistakes
  • Revisit the certification instructions and overall guidelines
  • Retake when you feel confident

Expiration

Some certifications have an expiration date. This means:
  • You must complete the certification before the deadline
  • The expiration date is shown on your certification card
  • If a certification expires before you pass, you may need to contact support or wait for it to be reassigned
If you see an expiration date on a certification, prioritize completing it before the deadline. Expired certifications may prevent you from accessing the associated job.

What certifications unlock

Certifications are tied to specific jobs. When you pass a certification:
  • The associated job becomes fully accessible
  • You can navigate directly to the job from the results screen via the Go to Job button
  • Your certification status is updated to Completed across your dashboard

Which jobs require certifications

Not all jobs require certifications. When you apply to or are offered a job that has certification requirements, the certification is automatically added to your Certifications page. You’ll see a note on each certification card indicating which job it unlocks:
“Complete to work on job [Job Title]”
No. If a job requires a certification, you must pass it before you can access or submit work for that job.
A certification is typically tied to a single job. However, if multiple jobs share the same certification, passing it once may unlock all of them.
Contact support@workbolt.ai with the certification and job details. The team can reassign or extend it if needed.
Generally, a passed certification remains valid for the duration of the project. Check the expiration date on your certification card to be sure.
