How reviews work

Every submission on WorkBolt goes through a quality review before payment is processed. This ensures that all data meets the standards required for AI training.
1

Submission received

After you submit your work, your job status changes to Reviewing. You’ll see it in the Reviewing column of your My Jobs dashboard.
2

Quality evaluation

A reviewer evaluates your submission against the project’s quality standards, scoring six key metrics.
3

Decision

Based on the quality scores, your submission is either Accepted or Rejected.
4

Notification

You’ll receive an email notification with the outcome. The full review details are also available on the job’s detail page.
Reviews typically take 1–3 business days to complete. You don’t need to do anything while your submission is being reviewed.

Quality metrics

Each submission is scored across six dimensions:
MetricWhat it measures
AccuracyHow closely your submission follows the script or instructions
CompletenessWhether all required elements and recordings are included
ConsistencyUniform pace, volume, and style throughout your submission
Background NoiseAmount of ambient noise present in your recordings
Voice ClarityHow clear and intelligible your speech is
Microphone QualityTechnical quality of your recording equipment and audio output
Each metric is scored as a percentage. The combined assessment determines an overall quality rating and whether your submission meets the acceptance threshold.

Review outcomes

Accepted

If your submission is accepted:
  • Your job moves to the Completed column in My Jobs
  • A green “Job Completed” banner confirms the acceptance
  • Your payout amount is calculated based on time spent and the job’s hourly rate
  • Payment is processed on the next pay schedule cycle
  • You can view the full review breakdown, including individual metric scores and the reviewer’s note

Rejected

If your submission is rejected:
  • Your job moves to the Rejected column in My Jobs
  • A red “Submission Not Accepted” banner is displayed
  • The review card shows exactly which metrics fell short and why
  • A reviewer’s note provides specific feedback on what to improve
  • No payment is issued for rejected submissions
Repeated rejections may affect your eligibility for future projects. Take the feedback seriously and address any issues before submitting again.

Reading your review

After a review is complete, you can view detailed results by clicking on the job in your My Jobs dashboard. The review card shows:
  • Quality Rating — an overall rating (e.g., “Good”, “Fair”, “Poor”)
  • Average Score — the mean of all six metric scores
  • Individual Metrics — circular progress indicators for each of the six quality dimensions
  • Reviewer’s Note — written feedback from the reviewer explaining the assessment
Scores are color-coded:
  • Green (80%+) — meets or exceeds standards
  • Yellow (60–79%) — borderline, room for improvement
  • Red (below 60%) — below acceptable threshold

Progress timeline

Each job detail page includes a progress timeline that visually tracks where your submission is in the review pipeline:
  1. Submission Received — your work has been submitted
  2. Quality Review — the review team is evaluating your work
  3. Final Decision — accepted or rejected based on quality scores

Improving after a rejection

If a submission is rejected, here’s what you can do:
Check which specific metrics scored below the threshold. Focus your improvement efforts on those areas.
The reviewer’s note explains exactly what went wrong. This is the most actionable feedback available.
If background noise, voice clarity, or microphone quality were flagged, revisit the Recording Setup guide and adjust your environment or equipment.
Low accuracy or completeness scores usually mean the script or instructions weren’t followed precisely. Re-read all instructions before starting future jobs.
If you believe a review was incorrect or need clarification, reach out to support@workbolt.ai with your job details.

Payment after acceptance

  • Your payout is calculated based on the job’s hourly rate and the time tracked for your submission
  • Payment is added to your Withdrawable Balance on the Earnings page
  • Payments are processed every Thursday by 11:59 PM for jobs submitted by Wednesday 12:00 PM PST — see Pay Schedule for details
You can track all your payouts and earnings from the Earnings page in your dashboard. See Payment Methods for details on withdrawing funds.
