How pay works

Pay on WorkBolt varies by project type, language, complexity, and the specific task. Most projects pay between $15–$50 per hour. Specialized projects and the AI Fellowship program may offer higher rates.

Rate structures

Rate typeDescription
Per hourHourly rate for time-based projects
Per conversationFixed rate per completed conversation session
Per taskFixed rate per completed task (e.g., per recording, per transcription)
The specific rate for each project is displayed on the job listing before you apply. You’ll always see the payment rate and structure before accepting any work.

Offers

When you’re selected for a project, you’ll receive an offer that includes:
  • Pay amount — your rate for the project
  • Pay duration — whether pay is per hour or annualized
  • Offer type — contract, full-time, or part-time
  • Contract details — terms you’ll need to review and accept
You can accept or decline any offer from your dashboard.

What affects your rate

  • Language — less common languages may command higher rates due to limited availability
  • Project complexity — technical or specialized content typically pays more
  • Quality track record — consistently high quality scores can qualify you for premium projects
  • Expert type — AI Fellows may have access to higher-paying projects
Pay rates are set per project and are non-negotiable for standard assignments. Always check the rate listed on each project before applying.
