Language and accent requirements
Choose the proficiency level that accurately reflects your ability to speak, understand, read and write the language. Do not select native or fluent unless you can consistently perform at that level. For accent-specific jobs:- Apply only when the required accent is your natural and consistent accent
- Do not claim an accent based only on where you live or previously lived
- Do not apply using an accent you can only imitate temporarily
- Maintain the same accent throughout the project
Audio and video jobs
For audio, voice acting and conversation jobs, provide accurate information about:- Your natural accent and speaking proficiency
- Your microphone and audio interface
- Your camera and recording equipment
- Your recording environment
- Your professional or voice acting experience
- Your accent does not meet the job requirement
- Your audio or video quality is lower than your approved sample
- You use unapproved equipment
- Recordings repeatedly contain noise, echo or audio bleed
- Your performance does not match the role
- Another person completes work through your account
Writing and transcription jobs
Only apply when your language proficiency, writing ability and subject knowledge meet the job requirements. Submitted work must:- Be completed independently
- Follow the required format
- Be original and accurate
- Match the quality demonstrated during assessment
- Avoid unauthorized AI tools, automated transcription or copied material
Reviewing and evaluation jobs
Reviewers must have the required language ability, subject knowledge and attention to detail. Reviewers must:- Follow the project rubric
- Review each submission fully
- Apply standards consistently
- Provide clear and relevant feedback
- Avoid decisions based on personal preference
Maintaining approval
Approval is based on your application, equipment and submitted samples. You must continue to meet the same standard throughout the project. Contact WorkBolt before completing more work if your:- Equipment changes
- Recording environment changes
- Qualifications or availability change
- Work quality can no longer meet the project standard
Verification
WorkBolt may verify your qualifications through:- Assessments and auditions
- Audio or video samples
- Interviews or certifications
- Equipment checks
- Quality reviews
- Comparisons between application samples and completed work
- Requests for additional information
Possible consequences
Depending on the issue, WorkBolt may:- Request a profile update
- Require reassessment
- Reject noncompliant work
- Withhold payment for rejected work
- Remove you from a project
- Restrict access to similar jobs
- Suspend or remove your WorkBolt account
