General eligibility

To participate in WorkBolt projects, you must:
  • Have a verified WorkBolt account with completed onboarding
  • Be approved by the WorkBolt team
  • Have completed the Identity & Payment setup through Dots
  • Have a clear speaking voice and a quiet recording environment
  • Have a stable internet connection

Equipment requirements

What you need

  • Computer or laptop with stable internet
  • Microphone or headset (built-in mics are OK for most projects)
  • A quiet recording space with minimal background noise
  • Google Chrome browser (latest version)

Recommended extras

  • External USB microphone for improved audio quality
  • Closed-back headphones for monitoring
  • Pop filter to reduce plosive sounds
  • Treated recording space (carpeted, soft furnishings)

Project-specific requirements

Individual projects may have additional requirements defined by the client:

Application requirements

When applying for a job, you may need to complete any combination of:
  • Resume upload — provide your current resume
  • Reasoning assessment — complete a reasoning style questionnaire
  • Interview — attend a domain expert interview
  • Availability confirmation — confirm your timezone and hours
  • Work authorization — verify you’re legally authorized to work
  • Voice recording — submit audio samples following scripts
  • Video quiz — complete an audio quality and guidelines assessment
  • Video sample — record a video sample
