How to resolve technical issues and contact the WorkBolt team.

Check your microphone input

Before every recording:
  • Connect your external microphone before opening the platform
  • Select the microphone by its exact name
  • Do not leave the input set to Default
  • Do not use your laptop’s built-in microphone
  • Confirm that the input meter responds when you speak
Your partner may hear you even when the wrong microphone is selected. Always confirm the exact input. If the platform keeps selecting the laptop microphone, clear the site’s cookies and microphone permissions, reopen Chrome and select the external microphone again.

Audio interfaces

If you plan to use an audio interface, contact the team before using it on the recording platform. Include your:
  • Microphone model
  • Interface model
  • Computer and operating system
Wait for approval before recording through the interface.

Failed quality checks

If your microphone, background noise or internet connection does not meet the project standard, the platform may prevent you from joining. This is an intentional quality-control feature and is not necessarily a bug.

Background noise

If the background-noise check fails:
  • Turn off fans, appliances and nearby electronics
  • Close windows and doors
  • Move away from plugged-in devices
  • Try another room
You may not notice a constant noise that the platform can detect.

Electrical hum

If you hear buzzing or humming:
  • Move away from rooms with many plugged-in devices
  • Unplug unnecessary chargers and equipment
  • Connect the microphone directly to your computer
  • Avoid unapproved USB hubs
  • Try another USB port or room

Internet

If the internet check fails:
  • Move closer to your router
  • Stop downloads, streaming and video calls
  • Use Ethernet when available
  • Switch to a more stable connection
Do not continue until all required checks pass.

Contacting support

You may contact us by: Please allow up to 48 hours for a response. Mark something as urgent only when it is actively preventing you from completing more work. Do not submit duplicate requests or message multiple accounts about the same issue since it creates communication breakdowns.
