Check your microphone input
Before every recording:- Connect your external microphone before opening the platform
- Select the microphone by its exact name
- Do not leave the input set to Default
- Do not use your laptop’s built-in microphone
- Confirm that the input meter responds when you speak
Audio interfaces
If you plan to use an audio interface, contact the team before using it on the recording platform. Include your:- Microphone model
- Interface model
- Computer and operating system
Failed quality checks
If your microphone, background noise or internet connection does not meet the project standard, the platform may prevent you from joining. This is an intentional quality-control feature and is not necessarily a bug.Background noise
If the background-noise check fails:- Turn off fans, appliances and nearby electronics
- Close windows and doors
- Move away from plugged-in devices
- Try another room
Electrical hum
If you hear buzzing or humming:- Move away from rooms with many plugged-in devices
- Unplug unnecessary chargers and equipment
- Connect the microphone directly to your computer
- Avoid unapproved USB hubs
- Try another USB port or room
Internet
If the internet check fails:- Move closer to your router
- Stop downloads, streaming and video calls
- Use Ethernet when available
- Switch to a more stable connection
