WorkBolt expects Experts to maintain the quality, conduct and equipment standards required for each job. Reviews include feedback on what must be corrected. Experts who continue submitting work without applying that feedback may be paused or removed from the project.
A project pause is intended to prevent further rejected work and protect your eligibility for payment. Take all feedback seriously before completing additional submissions.

Reasons for offboarding

Experts may be paused or removed for the following reasons.

Repeated quality issues

  • Consistent rejected submissions
  • Background noise, echo or audio bleed
  • Poor audio or video quality
  • Incomplete or unusable submissions
  • Failure to apply reviewer feedback
  • Continuing to work after being told to pause
  • A submission rejection rate above the acceptable project standard
Experts are generally expected to maintain at least a 95% acceptance rate. A higher rejection rate may trigger a quality review or project pause. For collaborative jobs, a single poor submission may affect another Expert’s work and payment. Serious quality failures in collaborative work may result in an immediate pause.

Identity, accent and equipment violations

  • Allowing another person to use your account
  • Giving your approved microphone or equipment to another person
  • Having someone else complete work on your behalf
  • Changing microphones, cameras, interfaces or recording environments without approval
  • Using equipment that does not match your application
  • Claiming an accent that does not match your natural speech
  • Significantly changing your accent after approval
  • Providing inaccurate information during the application process
Only the approved Expert may complete work through their account using the approved setup.

Community and support violations

  • Violating WorkBolt Discord community guidelines
  • Harassing, insulting or threatening other Experts or team members
  • Repeatedly spamming or badgering Support
  • Sending duplicate requests to multiple team members
  • Marketing products, services or outside opportunities
  • Sending unsolicited promotional material
  • Spreading false or misleading information
  • Impersonating WorkBolt staff or other Experts
  • Disrupting project channels or encouraging others to ignore project rules

Strike system

Actions depend on the seriousness, frequency and impact of the issue.

Quality pause

A Quality Pause may be applied after:
  • One serious failed collaborative submission
  • Multiple rejected submissions
  • Failure to apply previous feedback
  • A sudden decline in work quality
  • A change in equipment, accent or recording conditions
While paused:
  • Do not complete additional work
  • Review all feedback carefully
  • Correct your setup or participation
  • Complete any requested test, assessment or sample
  • Wait for Quality Assurance approval before returning
A pause is not automatically a permanent ban. It is an opportunity to correct the issue before more work is rejected.

Strike 1: Formal warning

A first strike may be issued when an Expert:
  • Repeats an issue after receiving feedback
  • Submits additional poor-quality work
  • Violates a project or community guideline
  • Fails to follow support communication rules
The Expert may receive a warning, temporary project pause or request for reassessment.

Strike 2: Temporary suspension

A second strike may result in:
  • Removal from the current project
  • A temporary platform suspension
  • Restrictions from applying to similar jobs
  • Required retraining or reassessment
  • Review of recent submissions and payments
Access may only be restored after approval from the WorkBolt team.

Strike 3: Permanent removal

Continued violations after previous warnings may result in:
  • Permanent removal from the project
  • Permanent suspension of the WorkBolt account
  • Loss of access to future jobs
  • Ineligibility to create or use another account
Creating another account to avoid a suspension may result in immediate permanent removal.

Immediate removal

Some serious violations do not require multiple strikes. WorkBolt may immediately suspend or permanently remove an Expert for:
  • Impersonation or account sharing
  • Having another person complete work
  • Fraud or intentional misrepresentation
  • Harassment, threats or abusive behavior
  • Deliberately submitting false information
  • Attempting to manipulate reviews or payments
  • Sharing confidential project information
  • Repeatedly working while paused
  • Serious misconduct that harms another Expert, client or project
The strike system is a general framework. WorkBolt may take immediate action when a violation is severe, intentional or creates significant risk to other Experts or the project.

Returning after a pause

Before access is restored, an Expert may be required to:
  • Confirm that all feedback has been reviewed
  • Submit a new audio or video test
  • Verify their microphone, camera or recording setup
  • Complete another language or accent assessment
  • Attend a retraining or onboarding session
  • Demonstrate that the issue has been corrected
Do not resume work until WorkBolt confirms that your access has been restored.

Payments and rejected work

Only approved and compliant work is eligible for payment. Work may be rejected and considered ineligible for payment when it:
  • Does not meet the project requirements
  • Was completed while the Expert was paused
  • Was completed by another person
  • Used an unapproved setup
  • Contains serious quality or conduct violations
Removal from a project does not automatically cancel payment for previously approved work.
